Friday, May 25, 2007 – Austin's youngsters are about to become as hip as their parents. Marketing execs Sarah Brown and Helen Huckaba have come together to launch a new online baby boutique.
Called Two Blue Peas (www.twobluepeas.com), the online store is for the chic baby, offering high-end merchandise for babies 0-24 months old. Two Blue Peas stocks merchandise that isn't widely available anywhere else.
Brown and Huckaba used their backgrounds at an integrated marketing firm to develop an online survey to see what customers really wanted. The verdict came back, saying people wanted a customer-focused online boutique that felt like their favorite hometown baby boutique.
"We knew from experience that the online world truly lacked the kind of vibe you find at your favorite hometown baby boutique," Brown says. "The online baby sites out there are tough to find and hard to use. We wanted to create one with the customer in mind."
