Local Women Launch Online Baby Boutique Elizabeth Dannheim, Reporting (CBS 42) AUSTIN Finding just the right baby gift can be tough sometimes. Two local women discovered just that while searching online. Their frustration over the lack of Web sites offering unique baby gifts convinced them to launch their own. Helen Huckaba and Sarah Brown are like two peas in a pod. They've been friends for years, so it made sense when the two got together and decided to start an online baby boutique. “We have an art degree from Helen, I had a finance degree and we had fantastic marketing experience from our jobs here in Austin,” Brown said. They wanted to launch a Web site that extends customers the same kind of experience they would get shopping at a local baby boutique. Two Blue Peas offers clothes, caps and shoes, bibs and blankets and gifts for boys and girls ages 0 to 24 months. The gifts are unique. But what Brown and Huckaba really pride themselves on is how easy the Web site is to maneuver. “What we did was take all of our products and organized them in a way that we thought make sense,” Brown said. There's also an option for monogramming and gift wrapping. While launching Two Blue Peas hasn't exactly been a simple feat, especially with the addition of baby Lillie, the hard work has paid off. “We're getting a lot of interest which has been phenomenal,” Huckaba said.
